About

Join artist and writer Lally Macbeth for a vibrant celebration of the rich, often hidden world of Britain's folk traditions and seasonal customs. In 'The Lost Folk', Lally takes readers on an evocative journey through the strange and wonderful tapestry of folklore that shapes our cultural landscape.

Richly illustrated with her own surreal and dreamlike artwork, the book brings to life a cast of characters, rituals, objects, and places that are often overlooked or forgotten. In doing so, Lally breathes new life into these elusive traditions, showing that folk is not a relic of the past but a living, evolving force. Let the old magic stir.

This event is chaired by artist and folklorist Matthew Shaw.
