About
Woodfire Camping, a gastro campsite.
A large, open field with spectacular views of the South Downs rolling into the distance, this stunning family oriented camping spot is on a small stud farm in West Sussex. A footpath leads directly from the field to a network of walks and cycle routes through glorious countryside. Beaches, stately homes, wonderful gardens, open-air museums and fun parks are all just a short drive away.
If you're a seasoned camper, great. If you don't own a tent or just want a hassle free stay then fine pre-pitched canvas tents sleeping up to 6 are available to hire.
Woodfire’s hosts, Stella and Griff, cook up delicious locally sourced daily seasonal fare on the grill (evening meals and breakfasts) for campers, with menus created for both kids and grown-ups. Food is served at trestle tables overlooking wonderful views. The site is licensed to sell wine and beer, sourced from local producers and hot drinks are available from the camp kitchen.
Powerful hot 'spa-like showers' (The Guardian), fantastic sunsets and crystal-clear drinking water, straight from a borehole are also worth shouting about!
Woodfire is featured regularly in The Guardian, The Telegraph, Time Out, The Times, BBC Good Food and BBQ Magazine for its unique positioning as a gastro-campsite.
