In the heart of rural Sussex lies Bolney Wine Estate, one of England’s oldest and most beautiful vineyards. A three-generation family business led by Sam Linter, we have been guided by nature since 1972 when our first vines were planted. Guided by nature – the mild climate and the sandstone soil – we spent years discovering the best varieties of grapes to grow in our eco-system. We work carefully and mindfully when harvesting, never using machines to collect our grapes – everything is done by hand. We believe that the more we understand and take inspiration from the nature around us the more we can appreciate its needs and protect its diversity and beauty for future generations. Sam, along with her expert team produces award-winning still and sparkling wines from our famous Pinot Noir and Estate Bacchus to our classic sparkling Bolney Bubby and Blanc de Blancs. We also produce Rosso Vermouth and our very own gin using foraged hedgerow fruits and herbs.
Autumn Dining Experience 1 October 2021
We would like to invite you to join us for an intimate evening of fine dining at our Sussex estate, in celebration of our 2021 harvest season. After enjoying a glass of bubbles and canapés, join our chefs for a perfectly curated three-course tasting menu, paired with a wine flight showcasing three of our award-winning wines. You will be hosted throughout by one of our expert wine guides, who will talk you through the menu and share their top tips for food and wine pairing, as well as give an insight into all things harvest at Bolney.

Our Café
Our Eighteen Acre Café that has a stunning viewing balcony overlooking the ripening vines. It’s great place for a spot lunch with guests or with the family (and we include the dog in that) or simply catching up with friends. All our food is locally sourced and our chef serves up scrumptious dishes for breakfast and lunch.
We are excited to announce that it is now open for take-aways. We have launched a delicious new Alfresco takeaway menu, available on Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm (Monday & Tuesday we are open for take-away tea and coffee only). So why not pop in and grab a delicious take-away that can be enjoyed at home or on one of our new picnic benches* around the vines. We will also be offering cream tea mezzes on the weekends.
