Visit Atelier by the Sea’s new exhibition: ANIMAL: 31 May – 21 July

Featuring 15 artists and makers, each exploring animals in their own unique way—from the wild and majestic to the quietly domestic. Atelier Beside the Sea is a creative arts space situated on Brighton beach, offering a wide range of creative activities and the best in art and craft to inspire and surprise the local community and visitors to the city.


It Takes a Village exhibition at Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft: 5 July 2025 – 1 February 2026

This summer, Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft invites visitors behind the scenes with a new exhibition that re-examines its extraordinary collection of over 20,000 arts and craft objects from fresh perspectives. Marking 40 years since the museum’s inception, this living curatorial experiment will shape the museum’s major redisplay planned for 2028. 


Wanderwild at Wakehurst: 17 – 19 July

Experience Wanderwild at Wakehurst – an enchanting evening of live music, awe-inspiring acrobatics, and international street food, set in the golden glow of a summer’s night. Inspired by the elements, marvel at aerialists twirling from trees, stilt walkers emerging from the earth, and performers defying gravity on water, all set to an atmospheric global soundtrack.


Charleston Festival of the Garden: 17 – 20 July

Charleston is delighted to announce the return of its summer highlight Festival of the Garden,  featuring a programme full of pioneering voices across horticulture, literature, design and the environment. With over 60 speakers across four days, the festival will invite audiences to explore the garden as a radical, resilient and restorative space.


Club Life at the Old Market: 17 – 20 July

The Fringe-First-winning triple-Offie-nominated club/theatre experience comes to Brighton! Join Lemon Jelly’s Fred Deakin on an immersive joyride through his 80s/90s clubland adventures. Taking place In The Box.


Zooper summer holidays at Drusillas: 23 July – 1 September

Get nose-to-nose with 80 species of animal in Drusillas interactive zoo – remember to pick up your free spotter book and take part in fun zoolympics challenges along the zoo route! Don’t forget your swimsuits and make the most of the summer sunshine in Get Wet, the Park’s super splash pad.


Moby Dick at Brighton Open Air Theatre: 24 – 26 July

Widely regarded as one of the greatest works of American literature, Melville's classic whaling saga Moby Dick hits the stage in a thought-provoking new adaptation. The mythological figure of Moby Dick is brought to life through by female chorus, The Furies. Blending puppetry, live music, and dynamic physical theatre, this adaptation transforms Melville's epic into a surreal, visceral experience like no other!


Teens Can Cook: 28 July - 1 August, 4 - 8 August and 18 – 22 August 

Brighton cookery school will take your teen toastie maker and transform them into a confident cook. They’ll arm them with the knowledge and skills to cater for a healthy, nutritionally balanced diet. Plus, your teen will pick up the flair from the professional chefs at Brighton Cookery School.


School Holiday cookery classes at The Community Kitchen: 29 - 30 July and 7 August

A chance for your child to learn a fantastic range of cookery skills over the holidays, choose from a range of courses including afternoon teas, pizza, or a cream tea workshop. The perfect opportunity for them to learn a new skill they can use at home!
