Curry Leaf Cafe - Brighton Lanes
Named one of the best 12 Indian restaurants in Britain by BBC Good Food Magazine, Curry Leaf Cafe’s original restaurant in the Brighton Lanes serves up authentic South Indian food and (officially) the UK’s finest range of craft beers in a colourful, laid-back dining space decked out with wooden tables, exposed brick walls and vintage Indian design touches. The space operates as a cafe-cum-lunch spot during the day, offering a range of traditional thali platters, dosas and naan wraps, while in the evenings diners can choose from a small but diverse menu of South Indian street food, tandoor-grilled meats, curries and spiced desserts. Around half of the menu is vegan and a wide selection of gluten-free dishes is also on offer. Since opening in 2014, Curry Leaf Cafe has won numerous awards, including the UK’s Best Craft Beer Restaurant 2019, and appeared in every edition of the Waitrose Good Food Guide in the ‘Local Gem’ category.
