A Wonderful Weekend in Art Deco Worthing!

About

The seaside town of Worthing expanded during the Inter-War period and displays some wonderful examples of Art Deco architecture.
Join us, in this special Art Deco Centenary year, to explore some of the treasures that Worthing and the South East coast has to offer, including a guided walk round the town, visiting some of its more notable Deco sites, which include the Connaught Theatre (1933), Concert Pavilion (1926), Pier and Dome cinema (1911) and then hop on our bus to the recently restored, Grade 2* listed, Saltdean Lido (1938)for a tour and Sunday lunch!
On our way back we will drop by the magnificent Shoreham Airport (1936) as seen in several Poirot episodes and period productions, for a wander round, followed by tea in the Hummingbird Restaurant, which presents a perfect back-drop for photographs in your immaculate 20's/30's period attire!
For those staying for the weekend, we will meet up beforehand for cocktails and a Black Tie Dinner on the Saturday night in the Art Deco 'Perch on the Pier'.
You will be sent a full schedule for this Immersive Weekend, with details of suggestedaccommodation, should you require it.

Please note that the cost of meals and refreshments is not included in the ticket price, but you will be sent menus etc. in advance.
Please tick the relevant boxes and take note of the conditions.
