About
Hailing from America’s East Coast, legendary trumpeter and composer AnDré Mali has built a reputation on fluid boundary-crossing. His sound rests in modal jazz, but routinely weaves through gospel, blues, reggae, spiritual jazz, and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
Mali’s pedigree spans from both high-octane headliners and underground shows; his resume includes stints alongside funk visionary George Clinton, blues stalwart Tab Benoit, and regional ska-reggae mainstays Judge Roughneck.
For this special appearance AnDré Mali will be backed by Brighton’s own dynamic jazz combo - BIG TRIO.
