About
Join us for a day of playful experimentation and return home with your own block-printed lampshade.
In the morning, we will explore original hand-carved designs, discovering how to use block printing techniques. Using water-based, eco-friendly inks, we will then bring paper to life with block-printed patterns and creations, inspired by our surroundings, the house and gardens at Charleston. In the afternoon, you will assemble your own printed designs into a single, beautiful lampshade, leaving with a unique piece of art and some exciting new skills.
Suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike, this course combines creativity and craftsmanship in a relaxed, inspiring setting.
The workshop includes an exclusive tour of the modernist home and garden at Charleston, providing a glimpse into its rich artistic history, along with all the materials you'll need to bring your creations to life.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including a delicious lunch made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
