About
Borrowed brings together five artists exploring the instability of home through memory, landscape, identity and the shifting conditions that shape our sense of belonging. The exhibition begins from a shared recognition: the home we remember often no longer exists in the form we carry. Home is both a place and a moment in time, neither of which can be preserved.
Each artist approaches this instability from a different perspective. Some trace changing landscapes and environments, while others examine cultural dissonance, mediated memory and the emotional distance created by movement between identities or places. Together, the works consider what is left behind in the pursuit of opportunity, the desire to remember and the ways nostalgia can reshape our understanding of home.
Rather than offering a single narrative, Borrowed presents five interconnected perspectives on memory, belonging and change. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the tension between the home we remember and the home that remains, questioning how memory can both preserve and transform our relationship to place.
