Chris Coull Quintet, featuring special guest Donovan Haffner
Join us once again for an unforgettable Sunday brunch performance led by trumpeter Chris Coull. This month's event welcomes one of the most exciting rising stars on the London jazz scene — alto saxophonist Donovan Haffner, who has been garnering widespread acclaim since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music last year.
The quintet also includes acclaimed pianist Mark Edwards, double bass maestro Simon Woolf, and talented local drummer Joe Edwards. Together, they will present a unique set of specially arranged compositions in anticipation of a forthcoming album. The programme will feature works by Gigi Gryce, Cole Porter, and Walter Davis Jr., alongside original material by Simon Woolf.
Expect a vibrant performance brimming with lyrical melodies, swinging improvisations, and dynamic ensemble interplay — a true celebration of modern jazz.
