About

Two of South London's finest and experienced covers band, both having played over 100 gigs, join forces for well over 2 hours of classic punk, new wave, reggae & tone tone ska. Check the reviews below, these bands know how to put on a show, and are packing out venues all over the south.

CIRCA79:

"CIRCA79 isnt just a cover band, theyre a time machine. With a setlist that blasts through Punk, Ska, New Wave and early 80s Electro Pop, Circa channel the chaos and charisma of the original scene. From The Clash to The Specials, via The Jam and Talking Heads, you are taken on a musical revisit of the late 70's and early 80's. Theyve nailed the sound and spirit, their gigs are alive. Crowds of old punks, rude boys, mods and goths pack out venues to skank, stomp, and singalong to Ant Music, Message in a Bottle, and Swords of a Thousand Men, with real gusto. It's pure energy, It's loud, It's glorious. What sets CIRCA79 apart is their love for the era, and the way they bring people together, in a joyful celebration of a time when music meant something." Jerry Lewis

PUNKY REGGAE PARTY:

Made up musicians who've played for the UK Subs, Chords UK, Chelsea and Bruce Foxtons Solo band, and having seen many of the bands they cover live many times, they play with a passion and care, that they hope you'll appreciate.

They play early Clash, Ruts, Steel Pulse, Stranglers, Marley, Jam, SLF, 999 and concentrate on the Reggae songs they wrote or covered themselves. Think Bankrobber to Homicide, then Jah War to Something Better Change.

Punky Reggae Party are a powerful, no-nonsense live band based in Brixton, delivering a unique presentation of classic punk, reggae, and mod classics by musicians who were part of the original scene. This isnt a tribute act, it's a celebration of the music and culture from those who lived it.

With a loyal following across London and the South East, the band brings high-energy sets packed with tracks by The Clash, The Jam, The Stranglers, Bob Marley, The Specials, The Ruts, Stiff Little Fingers, Steel Pulse, and more. All delivered with authenticity, fire, and experience.
