About
This ten-week course invites students to explore a wide range of materials and approaches to drawing. We work expressively and playfully with a variety of drawing tools including sticks, inks, felt pens, wire, collage, pencils, charcoal and rubbers. Working mostly from observation, we use strategies that train the eye to see in new ways.
Each session is self-contained and focusses on a different aspect such as line, tone, texture, composition and colour. We look at artists both current and historic for inspiration. For one session we will go out of the studio and draw on location.
Suitable for all levels including beginners. Everyone can enjoy drawing.
