About

Urban Painting en Plein Air

After a long career in the Circus world, performing as a clown, sword swallower and Tight Rope Walker, Fred's life under the big top came to an abrupt end when he suffered a devastating back injury. During his slow recovery, Fred started painting and sketching and discovered a talent and love for going out and finding interesting places to paint.

This exhibition is a collection of sketches and paintings made around the streets of his home town Worthing and the surrounding area the majority of time en plein air. Fred will be demonstrating his approach to urban painting and will be available to explain his methods and how he uses watercolour and oils to create his works.
