George has built a solid following throughout the UK and beyond with his captivating and dynamic full band tour performances and festival appearances. He has previously been championed by the likes of Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2 and Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 6 and George’s 2026 main stage festival appearances include Beardy Folk Festival and Cambridge Folk Festival.

While George’s music may be subconsciously informed by the ridings of Yorkshire and the folk tradition so prevalent in the area, his songwriting comes from a deeply personal place. His rich vocals and confident lyrical style are reflected in his storytelling, while his guitar work often echoes Nick Drake in approach. Organic instrumentation with a folk-rock influence reminiscent of classic Crosby, Stills & Nash and Jeff Buckley is evident. Traditional folk signatures and themes run throughout, blending country motifs and klezmer modes, with the bed-rock pocket of rhythm and blues.
