Good Grief! 3 Plays of Love & Age

About

What happens when you crave connection but can’t keep up with the digital age? When you try to reach out, but fear the reactions of your loved ones? When life slows down, or your body becomes less reliable, but you remain unmistakably yourself?

Evalution Media and Swanwing Productions bring you a heart-warming and uplifting triple-bill of contemporary theatre, exploring age, memory, loneliness, and human connection.

The Line-up:

Rosebud & Milord (15 mins)
Imperceptibly, a woman’s life lived to the full begins to slow down, witnessed only by her pets.
Written & Directed by: Saskia Wesnigk-Wood | Performed by: Sharon Drain, Lorraine Yu, Mark Tournoff and Cat Gillison.

Jack's Blanket (15 mins)
How does it feel when your body lets you down, but your mind is still as sharp as ever?
Written & Directed by: Saskia Wesnigk-Wood | Performed by: Julian McDowell.

The Year Dot (45 mins)
A stylised stage adaptation of the multi-award-winning short film. Dot’s illness, isolation and dreams of a big end-of-life party lead to unexpected interactions, miss-communications and frustrating technology doing more harm than good.
Written & Directed by: Eva Marie Wilshere | Performed by: Sharon Drain, Lorraine Yu and the original film's cast.
