About

What happens when art and pornography come together and how does that change how we understand the body, gender and desire?

Helena Whittingham is a curator, producer and founder of creative and talent agency, Lover Management Ltd. She works at the intersection of culture and sexuality, challenging mainstream norms through a queer, feminist and sex-positive lens.

Vex Ashley is a porn performer and director of Four Chambers, a pioneering project that reimagines the artistic possibilities of erotic media, presenting expansive perspectives on sexuality, embodiment and power.

In this conversation, they explore how creative practices rooted in sex and pleasure can be acts of resistance, and how, in an increasingly hostile digital landscape, the aesthetics of pornography carry radical potential in a world still shaped by censorship, shame and control.

This talk will include screenings of Four Chambers films Disordered Interior Genomes and Orgone theory.

Due to references to and depictions of pornography, this event is for over-18s only. ID will be required on entry - we understand that ID may not reflect your name or gender. Our team is briefed to respect all identities.
