About
Martin Speake made his mark in the 1980s with the saxophone quartet Itchy Fingers, touring globally. From the late 1980s onwards, he's led many diverse projects performing everything from interpretations of Charlie Parker standards to free improvisation and cross-cultural work incorporating Indian, Arabic and Turkish rhythms. His 2006 ECM album Change of Heart is among his critically acclaimed works. With Chris Coull trumpet, Tim Wells piano, Paul Whitten double bass, Angus Bishop drums.
