About
José González is widely regarded as one of the most captivating live performers in contemporary music. On stage, he transforms a single voice and guitar into a vast and immersive concert experience.
His performances move seamlessly between hushed intimacy and a powerful, richly textured sound, where intricate rhythms and dynamic shifts fill the room and hold audiences in complete focus. Even when performing solo, he creates a sense of scale and depth that makes each show feel expansive, intense and emotionally resonant.
He has consistently sold out concert halls and theatres around the world, building a global reputation as a must-see live artist. With the release of his new album Against The Dying Of The Light on March 27 - previewed by the singles Pajarito and the title track - González returns to touring with new material that expands his unique sound. The album reflects on humanity, technology and the uncertain direction of the modern world, pairing thoughtful themes with his signature melodic and rhythmic songwriting.
The upcoming live set weaves these new songs together with highlights from across his catalogue, balancing introspection with rhythmic drive. Since his breakthrough debut Veneer (2003), featuring the iconic Heartbeats, José González has built an international reputation through more than two decades of acclaimed songwriting and touring.
His latest studio album Local Valley arrived in 2021, followed by a celebrated 20-year anniversary edition of Veneer in 2023 and extensive international touring throughout 2023 and 2024. He now returns with a new album and a renewed live show that reflects the full breadth of his artistic evolution.
José González’s concerts are defined by precision, warmth and presence - performances where subtle detail and expansive sound coexist, and where audiences are drawn into a shared, focused atmosphere. The forthcoming tour presents an artist at the height of his craft, delivering a live experience that is both intimate and monumental.
