About

Cellar Arts Club are delighted to welcome back Mayukk Gangopadhyay et al for an afternoon of Indian Classical music.

Mayukh Gangopadhyay is an Indian classical (Hindustani) instrumental sarod performer from India. He has been performing at many prestigious concerts and music festivals across the country and abroad as well. Some notable concerts are at the Rabindranath Tagore House in Kolkata, Kolkata International Trade Fair, Devgandhar in Pune, Bihar Nritya Kala Academy in Patna, Assam University in Silchar, Phoenix Mall in Chennai, ITC Food Festival in Chennai, Uttara Club in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Uttara University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, etc.

The Sarod is a traditional Indian Classical instrument known for its bold and dynamic sound. Sarod will be accompanied by Tabla and Indian devotional vocals which involves a soft melody sung with harmonium accompianment. Experience a trio of young musicians who create a different flavour of Indian Classical music. Our lifetime favourite songs and tunes get nourished with the bold stroke of Sarod and sweet rhythm of Tabla. It is a chance to feel that classical music is not boring as a new vision of the style is crafted while maintaining the tradition that will create a soulful comfort in your ears.

Vocal and Sarod Jugalbandi of Payal & Mayukh will be interactive so that audience also feel included while getting more enhanced with Tabla by Shreekalyan.
