Starting the second year of The Mehfil Space events at The Rose Hill! Committed to offering quality music from South Asia, The Mehfil Space @mehfilspace is delighted to bring you three performers who will delight and inspire you.

Mandar will present the vocal tradition of khayal, meaning "imagination". Aparna makes her violin sing. Both willl be accompanied by Junaid Ali, a much sought after tabla performer, during this night of 'Mehfil - e - Rose Hill'- which kicks of the second year's programme of south Asian classical raag music.

The concept of "Mehfil" is defined as "a gathering where music or poetry is performed for a small audience in an intimate setting."

Every concert becomes a collaborative dialogue, with all musicians collectively shaping the musical journey.

This event by The Mehfil Space @mehfilspace, set up by local curator Atiya Gourlay, is collaborating with the Brighton community arts venue, The Rose Hill and Zeroclassikal.
