About
Work-in-progress from two superb comedians!
MICHAEL ODEWALE
BAFTA-winning team writer / performer, Michael Odewale has fast gained recognition for his distinctive comic style.
A fresh and unfiltered voice known for delivering sharp and beautifully executed content, his debut show \#BlackBearsMatter won Best Show at both the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festivals and achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019, earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer in the Dave Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
In 2022 he released his first stand up special Michael Odewale: Live at Soho Theatre for Amazon Prime and has since gone on to work on a host of shows including Dreaming Whilst Black (BBC), Cunk on Earth (BBC), Death to 2022 (Netflix) and Ben Elton's Friday Night Live (C4).
His impressive performance credits include Live at The Apollo (BBC), Friday Night Live (C4) and Live from The Moth Club (Dave).
OLA LABIB
Influential pioneer Ola Labib is one of the fastest rising names in British comedy. Best known for her infectious charm, edgy comedy material and wry humour, her engaging stories are inspired by both her strict Islamic and traditional African upbringing, citing her father as her biggest comedy hero.
At the start of 2022, she was named by ITalkTelly as being one of The Top 22 TV stars to keep an eye on. She has since supported Mo Gilligan as the first black, Muslim woman to perform at the O2 Arena and achieved an impressive list of TV credits including World's Most Dangerous Road (Dave), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave), Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central), The Emily Attack Show (ITV) and Richard Osman's House of Games (BBC).
