Born in Maceió, on the coast of Brazil, composer and multi-instrumentalist Nyron Higor represents a new generation of Brazilian artists who are quietly reshaping the country's musical landscape.
A central figure within an extraordinary creative community that includes Bruno Berle, Batata Boy, and Phylipe Nunes Araújo, Nyron makes music which honours regional traditions while incorporating contemporary influences - standing as both individual visionary and part of a new collective voice.
His work has caught the attention of international tastemakers including Mr. Scruff, Gilles Peterson, and John Gomez - with extensive international radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, NTS, KEXP, and NPR.
