About

Join us for day of creative calm, exploring the character and charm of Charleston through watercolour. Take inspiration from a private house tour of the house at Charleston, discovering how creativity, stories, home and nature intertwine in this unique place.

Using reference photos, sketches taken on site, or memories, you will be guided to create your own watercolour piece, capturing the spirit of the house and its gardens, or another meaningful place. (Participants will have the option to bring their own reference images and capture somewhere more meaningful to them, if preferred).

Imogen will talk through and demonstrate her own process of sketching, inking and layering watercolour, but invite everyone to explore these techniques in a way that feels right for them. Instead of a step-by-step process, enjoy an invitation to observe and connect, helping you rediscover the joy of creating through gentle, supportive guidance.

Perfect for beginners or experienced painters, this workshop will offer time to slow down and reconnect with art and place.

The workshop includes an exclusive tour of the modernist home and garden at Charleston, providing a glimpse into its rich artistic history, along with all the materials you'll need to bring your creations to life.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including a delicious lunch made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
