About
Charleston's garden, designed by the renowned artist and critic Roger Fry, was planted as a living painting, filled with sculpture and inspiration.
Join celebrated artist Julian Le Bas for a day of immersive painting and lose yourself in the atmosphere of the walled garden and grounds at Charleston.
Tailored for those looking to enhance their skills, this workshop focuses on developing composition techniques with a special emphasis on the use of colour. Whether you prefer oils or acrylics, Julian's expert guidance will help you unlock new approaches to your work, while the artistic legacy of Charleston's surroundings provides endless artistic fuel.
All materials, including paints and canvases, will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own paints if you prefer.
The workshop includes an exclusive tour of the modernist home and studio at Charleston, providing a glimpse into its rich artistic history, along with all the materials you'll need to bring your creations to life.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including a delicious lunch made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
