In this session we will be thinking about all the things that make us happy, including posting postcards of our happy memories into the Project Happiness box, creating a large collective drawing of things that make us happy, and junk modelling a scene or symbol from our happiest memories. It's time to reflect on the positive things in life, supporting our wellbeing, and encouraging people of all ages to be creative. With the sea being so close to where we live, it's very much linked to memories that make us happy.

This event has a capacity of 20 people. No experience needed- just enthusiasm and imagination. All materials will be supplied.

About Project Happiness: Project Happiness is a new show in development about what makes us happy. They are working with ages 1-100+ with local communities across Adur, Arun and Worthing to hold workshops creatively exploring 'what makes you happy?' The outcomes from these workshops will then be used to help shape the structure and storyline of a new show which will premiere in October 2026 at Windmill Theatre. By taking part in these workshops, you will be part of this huge project which brings generations together to celebrate what makes us happy. Project Happiness is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Information about the event: Our ground floor gallery space has step free access. The session may become noisy at times due to the nature of the workshops. For those with noise sensitivity, you are welcome to bring along your own ear protectors or ear plugs. If you have any specific access requirements please get in touch!

For all family creative sessions an appropriate adult is required to stay on site with their child throughout the duration of the session.

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the session to allow our host time to set up and create a welcoming space. If you'd like to see the space beforehand, we can provide photos or arrange a visit. We want you and your family to feel comfortable and excited about the experience!
