Psychic & Wellbeing Event is a machine made up of odd parts. The Brighton-based post-emo / slacker-rock trio have been crafting their DIY sound since they were teenagers, utilising their diverse musical backgrounds. Each member's varied influences come together to form a sound entirely of their own, blending scrappy noise with fuzzy yet melodic hooks as they cover themes of broken friendships and young-adult anxieties. The result is emotionally raw and introspective expression - a cathartic release to channel their energy through. They wear the DIY nature of the project like a badge, each proudly the messiest version of themselves. Longtime friends (and family) PAWE comprises frontman Morgan Pile, alongside twins Ioni and Eva Morton. Since starting, the group have always been a strong part of the local scene, having previously supported artists such as Weatherday, SUDS and Me Rex, as well as making appearances at Homegrown and 234 Fest. In November 2024, they recorded and released their first EP ‘Existence, or Whatever’, produced by longtime collaborator Kim Jarvis. As well as being the musical directors of the project, the band has also entirely independently produced their own music videos and merchandise.
