About

Queer Fayre + Midsummer Party

Queer Fayre, 7-9pm

Charleston house and gardens turn into a Queer Fayre so you can frolic and encounter performances, live art, and a fine selection of wild queers taking up residence in the greenery. With extravagant performances and bucolic experiences by Symoné, Brian Lobel, Emma Frankland, Subira Joy, and Charlie Wood.

Q is For Garden: Conversation and sunset ritual with Jenny Chamarette

Part of the Queer Fayre, author Jenny Chamarette hosts a gentle drop-in conversation by the greenhouse about queerness, radical gardening and spaces of flourishing, based on their book, Q is for Garden. Then as the sun sets, Jenny will guide a restful, radical ritual, processing around Charleston to re-assemble on the Walled Garden Lawn. There they will invite a communal experience of quiet contemplation, sensory grounding and hopeful futures, as we transition into the twilight and the party to come.

Midsummer Party, 9pm - midnight

As twilight descends, Charleston comes to life with DJs, performances, and debauchery. Join us for a mid summer party under the August sky. Conjuring ghosts of queers past and gossip of queer future. Dance into the night with DJ Michelle Manetti and party with a line-up of Special Guests across the evening..
