Regency Dance Workshop

About

Dance-step back in time to Brighton’s glorious Georgian days!

Brush off your fans and brush up your etiquette; ‘Regency Delights’ is taking guests back to 1831 to learn the gossip, deportment and dances of the day.

Established Georgian Re-enactment company Regency Delights is bringing the delights of Brighton’s Georgian period to life in the form of ‘an elegant entertainment’. Guests can immerse themselves in the breath-taking world of 1831, when King William IV is on the throne, the ball at Brighton’s Pavilion is just around the corner, the gossip of the day is scandalous and the Regency dances are waiting to be learned.

Three welcoming and knowledgeable characters from the era will teach the art of flirting with fans, the required etiquette to make the (right) impression at the ball and four authentic Regency dances.
‘Mr Henry Adams’ (gentleman), one of the hosts of the ‘elegant entertainment’, said; ‘It's absolutely delightful to be teaching people the beautiful dances of the Georgian period. We have lots of gossip, dancing and – dare we say - even a little flirting to share with our guests’. What more could one ask for!

Although the hosts will be in full Regency attire, guests are welcome to ‘come as they are; be it dressed up or down’. Fans and gloves are provided.

Tickets are £15 and include the 75-minute dance workshop and free fan hire. Places are limited to a maximum of 30. No prior dance experience is required.
