About
Often overlooked, Roger Fry was one of the most influential figures in twentieth-century art in Britain, giving a generation of modern British artists their first exhibitions, while also creating art himself.
From his curation of one of the most important collections in New York and groundbreaking exhibitions in London, to his launch of the Omega Workshops with Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, Fry introduced Post-Impressionism, radicalised interiors and changed the landscape of twentieth-century art.
'Roger Fry: Bloomsbury and the Invention of Modern Art' offers a compelling portrait of his career and influence. Join its author, writer and journalist Fiona Mackenzie Johnston in conversation with gallerist and broadcaster Philip Mould, to explore the legacy of an artist and critic whose ideas continue to resonate today.
