About

Join artist and educator Sam Ayre for a FREE CPD (continuing professional development) session.

Connected to Charleston’s Reimagine project, a creative learning programme with Year 9 students from Seahaven Academy, this session is open to all educators and practitioners interested in creative learning, including teachers, youth workers, social workers, artists and home educators.

Sam will share an insight into their practice, which explores landscape, the natural world and how we are connected to it and one another. They will lead a practical activity using oil pastels, canvas and reclaimed wood, inviting participants to take inspiration from the textures and colours found in their surroundings.

Through drawing, material experimentation and collaborative making, you will explore how nature and memory can be translated across two- and three-dimensional surfaces. You will discover accessible creative approaches that can also be adapted for use with young people in educational and community settings.

Spaces are limited, so please register to reserve your free place.
