Sara Cook: Cherry Blossom Project Workshop

About

Sara Cook: Cherry Blossom Project Workshop // Tuesday 17 March // 20.00 +booking fee

Sara invites you to participate in a creative opportunity to make a cherry blossom mobile for an installation celebrating the arrival of spring. Participants will learn the technique of making Korean Mandus (dumplings) and assemble them into a mobile using naturally dyed Korean silk organza. Each mandu may contain a personal message or wish.

Upon completion of the Cherry Blossom Project, you will be able to retrieve your blossom to continue to enjoy it at home.

The installation is scheduled to be exhibited at the Garden Museum, London from 28 April to 21 May 2026; at Phoenix Arts Space during May 2026; and at the Oriental Museum, Durham from March to May 2027.

All required fabrics will be provided. The activity is suitable for beginners and involves easy hand stitching only.

This event is part of our Wonderful Workshops programme. Find out more here.
