About
A calming Chinese New Year experience with tea ritual, traditional craft, and a guided sound bath.
Welcome the Chinese New Year with a calm, sensory-rich experience that brings together tea, sound, and traditional making. This 2.5-hour workshop weaves three time-honoured Chinese practices that support grounding, clarity, and intentional transition into the year ahead.
What to Expect:
• A slower pace that supports calm and presence
• Sensory ritual and mindful attention
• Cultural insight through lived traditions
• Gentle creative focus and deep rest
• A meaningful keepsake to take home
No prior experience is needed.
The Experience:
Gongfu Tea Ceremony
The session opens with a traditional Chinese gongfu tea ceremony. Through slow, intentional movements, warming aromas, and layered tasting, tea becomes a ritual of arrival. Cultural stories and context are gently shared, inviting a deeper connection to the practice.
Traditional Lucky Knot Workshop
You’ll then be guided through the making of a Chinese lucky knot, a centuries-old symbol of protection, continuity, and good fortune. The rhythmic weaving encourages calm focus and creative flow, and each participant will take home their own handcrafted keepsake.
Calming Guided Sound Bath
The experience closes with a calming guided sound bath using traditional instruments. Gentle sound, vibration, and spacious listening invite deep rest and reflection, creating space to welcome the new year with clarity and intention.
Valentine’s Day Session
Held on Valentine’s Day, this session offers a gentle space to cultivate connection with ourselves, with loved ones, and with each other. You are welcome to attend solo, with a friend, or with a partner.
