Tea Tasting Workshop

About

Your workshop begins with a warm welcome from Helen Taggart, founder and blender of MDTea. Helen will introduce you to the world of MDTea and set the stage for an immersive journey into the art and history of tea.

You'll uncover the fascinating origins of tea, tracing its path from ancient China to its status as one of the world's most beloved beverages. Along the way, you'll explore the myths, traditions, and global significance that have shaped tea culture throughout the ages.

Before you begin tasting, Helen will guide you through the teas you'll be sampling, You'll gain insight into their origins, unique characteristics, and the elements that influence their flavours.

A crucial part of the experience is mastering the art of brewing. You'll learn how water temperature and quality can enhance or diminish a tea’s flavour, ensuring you leave with the skills to create the perfect cup at home.
