The Acoustic Night an evening of intimate music

About

The Acoustic Night is a community-driven event where attentive listening is encouraged, creating an intimate atmosphere that aims to break down the barrier between artist and audience. While the music is at the heart of the evening, our events are also about bringing people together. We aim to create an environment that encourages new friendships and connections, with people at the heart of why we do what we do.
The evening explores different styles of folk and the unique forms of expression each artist has found through their influences and musical choices. Ronnie Cutmore blends atmospheric indie folk with the raw blues he grew up on, drawing on artists such as Bon Iver and Paolo Nutini to create introspective songs about love, loss and heartbreak. Oliver Meadows brings Flamenco together with influences from guitarists such as Johnny Marr and Joni Mitchell, incorporating Marr-inspired chord voicings into Flamenco to create a more melancholic and serious sound, using the guitar to tell stories and evoke emotion without words.
Alice brings something particularly intimate to the evening, combining harp and voice in a style with Celtic influences, spiritual qualities and a deeply emotive character. Gabriella Frances creates dreamy, ethereal alt-folk inspired by devotional music and the rhythms of the natural world, exploring themes of impermanence, awakening and the nature of reality.
