About
The graphic art interventions of anonymous feminist collective, Guerrilla Girls, has challenged sexism, racism and power structures in the art world since the 1980s.
Using bold text, striking imagery and sharp humour, their work exposes who is excluded from cultural institutions and why. Installed directly onto the gallery walls, these infamous works foreground the relationship between word and image in gallery spaces and as a tool for critique, asking how authority is constructed and contested.
Urgent, accessible and uncompromising, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on how art reflects systems of power, and what we can do to resist.
