The Too Bad Jims + Support

About

Named after the seminal RL Burnside album "Too Bad Jim", the band plays a gritty high-octane mix of North Mississippi Hill Country blues and boogie. Their unique combination of dual rough and ready vocals, bare-bones electric guitars, slashing bottleneck, and an infectious groove, delivers a raw, and earthy sound typical of a Mississippi juke joint.

Their debut album “Over The Hill” released in January this year

"…absolutely scorching…" Living Blues

“a timely reminder of how good Mississippi blues can be“ Blues in Britain

"A remarkable three-piece … they represent the real essence of blues music, unfiltered and immediate" Blues Matters

Support: Campfire Coyote

Campfire Coyote is a spellbinding new Americana duo from the Brighton area that bring together the mesmerizing vocals of Lucie Lorenz and the cool and always spot-on guitar of Rich Gibson.

It's hard to believe they were formed in 2024, because they look and sound like they have been playing together for a very long time. They delve into the world of folk, jazz, blues, and country bringing listeners a unique performance from the heart of these genres, with a repertoire that ranges from Billie Holiday to Hank Williams, French chanteuse Mistinguett to "Singin' Cowboy" Roy Rogers and many more.
