About

Woyzeck loves Marie. Marie loves Woyzeck. Life is hard. Woyzeck kills Marie.

Buchners original play Woyzeck, written in 1836, considers the impact of societal pressures on a poor soldier and his wife: Woyzeck feels powerless and humiliated. Marie must pay the price. It feels inevitable. Even now.

Devised and developed by the company, Where I End and You Begin explores contemporary gender roles through the prism of Buchners classic play. Through extracts, verbatim material, physical theatre, songs and new writing we question what it is to be afraid of each other - and how we might be brave.

Presented by the BA Acting and Professional Diploma in Performance and BA Stage Management and Technical Theatre courses.
