After a super successful Brighton Fringe join us at Maris and Otter for our first independent stand-up comedy night! We will have an eclectic mix of guest comedians each show and we are super excited for October
Our first show is hosted by Alex Farrow - "a well-spoken, amiable but razor-witted comedic maestro" - Oxford Mail. As heard on BBC Radio 4. He is also host of Jericho Comedy, which has been recommended in the Times which has won the Chortle industry award in 2019, 2020 and 2025 for being one of the top comedy nights in the UK
We recommend reserving a seat for 5 in advance to guarantee entry. Or if there is space on the night walk in for free and donate at the end.
Marris and Otter will be open for drinks beforehand in the main bar area and well check tickets from 7:30pm for a prompt 8pm show start. Latecomers risk not being admitted if we are at capacity
Age guidance is 18+. Expect some adult themes. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There are steps to the toilets at this venue. Excessive or disruptive chat during performances isn't cool, a bit like in the theatre or cinema. We encourage large groups above 6 to contact us before booking.
