Wiyaala & Miha Petric: Songs & Stories from Northern Ghana

About

Songs & Stories from Northern Ghana
Join Ghanaian singer, songwriter and storyteller Wiyaala and Slovenian classical guitarist Miha Petric for an intimate evening of music, storytelling and acoustic folk songs inspired by life in Funsi, a small village in Northern Ghana.
Known for her powerful voice, infectious humour and engaging stage presence, Wiyaala shares songs in Sissala, Waala, Dagaare and English, introducing audiences to the traditions, stories and wisdom of her home region.
Accompanied by Miha Petric's expressive classical guitar, the performance becomes a conversation as much as a concert, blending music, storytelling and cultural insight in a warm and engaging atmosphere.
Named one of the BBC's 100 Inspiring and Influential Women of 2024, Wiyaala has performed across Africa, Europe, North America and Australia.
This special acoustic performance offers a rare opportunity to experience the songs, stories and everyday life of Northern Ghana in an intimate setting.
