About
Accompanied by Slovenian classical guitarist Miha Petric, Wiyaala brings the songs, traditions, stories and everyday village life of Northern Ghana vividly to life through a lively evening of music, storytelling and conversation.
Blending powerful vocals, expressive guitar and natural humour, each performance invites audiences to laugh, listen, ask questions and become part of the experience.
Named one of the BBC's 100 Inspiring and Influential Women in 2024, Wiyaala has performed at major festivals and concert halls across Africa, Europe, North America and Australia. Yet these performances offer something quite different – an opportunity to experience one of Africa's most compelling live artists at her most personal, sharing not only her music but the culture, values and community that have shaped her life.
Expect beautiful songs, fascinating stories, moments of laughter, and an unforgettable evening that will transport you to the savannahs of Northern Ghana.
