Brighton Book Festival's Writers Workshop is a fantastic opportunity to develop your writing skills and gain invaluable insights into the workings of the publishing industry. Supporting both emerging and established writers, our Writers' Day aims to build a lasting legacy and invest in the future of marginalised authors. Alongside a full programme of events and workshops, there will be opportunities to book in for 121s with industry professionals throughout the day.

Sharlene Teo's debut novel Ponti won the Deborah Rogers Writers' Award and was translated into nine languages. Her writing has appeared in places such as The Guardian, Granta and McSweeney's and she has taught for the Arvon Foundation, Southbank Centre, Faber Academy and the National Centre for Writing.
