THE CERAMIC HOUSE offers the rare chance to experience staying in a living artwork, a boutique guesthouse offering unique accommodation with free on-street parking in Fiveways.

It is the creation of architectural ceramicist Kay Aplin, who has transformed her home into a living work of art and has covered her house and garden with ceramic installations, and you can stay here!

It is also a pop-up gallery; Kay occasionally curates exhibitions of world-class ceramics in the house, garden and gallery, please contact us for ceramics enquiries.

We welcome visitors from all around the world for short stays and visits, ranging from one night to several months. Whether you are in need of accommodation for a short holiday, a work trip or a longer stay for work or study, this is a haven and you will be very comfortable in our peaceful, special artist’s home.

We have four rooms available, two en suite and two with a shared bathroom. Each room sleeps 2. All the bathrooms feature tiled installations. All rooms have free WIFI. We do not provide breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in every room.

The Loft Room is a gorgeous, spacious room, full of light, beautifully furnished with hand-made/retro furniture and the Llanbradach Spires Bathroom. Amenities include: king size bed, flat-screen TV, DVD, kettle. Enquire about pets.

The Gallery Room, in a separate building in the garden, functions as a white cube gallery space when occasional exhibitions are on. It is a bijoux self-contained studio with en-suite Bamboo Bathroom. It has a double bed, mini-kitchenette, underfloor heating and a small conservatory. It has its own terrace with French doors leading to the Blackberry Hill patio and its own street entrance. Amenities include: flat-screen TV, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster. Pets are welcome.

The Deco Room is a lovely, spacious room, beautifully furnished with art deco furniture and a comfortable double bed. The Blues Room is a beautiful quiet room overlooking the Ceramic Garden with a double bed and the Portuguese bathroom is right next door. Both rooms have kettles. If only one of Deco/Blues room is booked, it has a private bathroom. Enquire about pets.
