About
Where Great Hospitality Meets Greater Purpose
Step into Brighton's newest landmark pub, The North Star, located beside the Royal Pavilion in the heart of the city. This stunning venue isn't just a place for exceptional food and drink - it's a pub with a powerful mission.
Inspired by the era of Graham Greene's Brighton Rock, The North Star's atmospheric interior pays tribute to the building's heritage as home to the Brighton Herald. Here, you'll find stylish seating for every occasion: comfy sofas for relaxed drinks, intimate booths perfect for groups of up to 10, elegant tables for casual dining, and a private function room for celebrations. The sheltered terrace, with its views of the Royal Pavilion, is one of Brighton's hidden gems.
The gastropub menu delivers flavour and quality in equal measure. Enjoy a refreshing pint or a signature cocktail alongside hearty classics like fish & chips, ribeye steak, and sharing dishes including bouillabaisse and traditional pies. Sunday roasts (12pm-4pm) are an unmissable treat, with vegetarian and vegan options ensuring everyone's catered for.
What makes The North Star pub truly special is its dual purpose. This groundbreaking venue is part of Team Domenica, a charity supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism – our candidates – to gain meaningful employment and thrive in life. As a training space, The North Star is navigating the way, building vital employment skills, breaking stereotypes and showcasing our candidates’ abilities to wider society. In doing so, we’re opening doors to the world of work, and so much more…
Every penny of profit goes towards funding Team Domenica, making each visit an investment in Brighton's community. Whether you're gathering with friends, enjoying a family meal (children's menu available), or simply soaking up the atmosphere with your four-legged companion, The North Star welcomes you with warmth, inclusivity, and purpose.
