About

Old Tree Brewery is a social enterprise micro-fermentery. Our products are inspired by natural botanicals and the transformative power of fermentation. Hand-crafted in Brighton with live cultures, our brews offer a truly small-batch locally-made alternative to mass-produced drinks. You can pop into our Fermentation Station to try our delicious Kombucha, Shrubs, and Seasonal Wines.

Kombucha is a fermented live drink made with Sencha Green Tea, famous for its probiotic benefits, low ABV and refreshing tangy appley sweetness.

We work in harmony with people, plants and microbes for social, ecological and economic good--like an Old Tree. Here’s how:

Using fermentation to make delicious drinks is nothing new---in fact it’s ancient. We draw on pre-industrial brewing practices and recipes to make natural, delicious products teeming with life.

We compost all our organic waste and feed it back into community gardens, which then provide some of our botanical ingredients. We create as little waste as possible by design.

Our products are delivered as sustainable as possible, using electric bikes and vans to get our drinks from us to you.

The sale of our brews support our mission to regenerate land and reconnect people to nature with forest farming and fermentation. We make living drinks for living soil.

The revolution will not be pasteurised!

You can find us in many shops, restaurants and casfes in Brighton including The Black Dove, Komodo Coffee, Oui Creperie, Bao Bun Brighotn, Hisbe, Down to Earth and Jasmine Health Foods.
