About

**ALBOROSIE - NINE MILE UK TOUR**
*The most Jamaican of the Sicilians*

With over 100 million streams and 10 million+ monthly listeners in 2024, Alborosie stands as a leading international reggae artist. Two years after Destiny, he returns with new music and a new album, continuing a prolific career that spans over 1,000 live performances worldwide.

Born Alberto D’Ascola in Sicily, Alborosie moved to Jamaica over 20 years ago, fully immersing himself in reggae culture. Since 1993, he has become a key figure in roots reggae, blending roots, rub-a-dub, raggamuffin, dancehall, and dub with authenticity and innovation.

His acclaimed discography includes classics such as Soul Pirate, featuring enduring anthems like “Kingston Town” and “Herbalist.” He has collaborated with artists including Ky-Mani Marley, Joe Mersa Marley, Collie Buddz, Roots Radics, The Wailers United, and King Jammy, and produced for acts such as The Wailing Souls.

In 2011, he became the first white artist to win the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act. Beyond music, he has used his platform for social impact, including the 2020 project Shadows After Dark raising awareness on human trafficking.

On stage, Alborosie performs with his band The Shengen Clan, known for dynamic, genre-spanning live shows that combine classic hits with new material. His vocal versatility and global touring history have made him a consistently acclaimed live act.

Recent releases include Destiny (2023), featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Buju Banton, Jaz Elise, and Burro Banton, and Dub Pirate (2024), a dub reinterpretation of Soul Pirate showcasing his production skills.
