About

About

When fully complete, the Beryl BTN Bikes scheme will comprise 780 bikes and e-bikes and over 100 bays to offer truly city-wide coverage.

Fun, easy-to-use and sustainable, the e-bikes are initially available for use on the seafront cycle lanes between Portslade and Rottingdean, as well as connecting Hove and Brighton stations via key spots such as Churchill Square.

The seafront is just the beginning however and the scheme will continue to expand throughout the summer, delivering more bikes and bays across phases two and three.

How to use

Beryl BTN Bikes is run by Beryl in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council. The bikes are easy to use and are hired through the Beryl app, which can be downloaded here.

Once you have registered, simply use the app to find your nearest bike, tap to unlock it and off you go!

When you’re finished, make sure you park up in a Beryl BTN Bikes bay and get on with the rest of your day. During the first phase, bikes must be returned to active bays. You may incur a charge if bikes are left at bays which are currently not in use.

How much do they cost?
