About
Minds Eye Promotions Eastbourne return with another monthly instalment of their genre fluid curation style of original music showcase nights to Eastbourne Grove Theatres Box bar, with additional between band guest performances in the lobby.
Beau Bowen- Insanely pyrotechnical vocal operatics, wailing guitar solo's, a bonkers sense of harmony, this Suffolk bred oddity really is one of the most fearlessly unique/original acts weve had the pleasure of hosting at Minds Eye events.
Rave tinged dance floor bangers like Dance Like A Robot, Mega Monster Party Jam & hits different could be the music from a Blade Runner themed nightclub set 100 years in the future.
Earlier Bowen material has Beautiful Ones era Prince, and Roxy music vibes..if they were fronted by Nina Hagen.
Wrong Côtes- Brighton based noise rock with nods to The Fall, Joy Division kraut rock, new wave punk, Sonic Youth and Pixies, with a few splashes of cinematic Surf Rock for good measure. Despite those comparisons they somehow manage to be very original with it.
LAIKKa four-piece indie rock band blending nostalgic, bittersweet indie with guitar-driven energy. Their sound sits somewhere alongside artists like Catfish, NewDad, Moon Idle, Die Twice, Fever Rouge, BIGHEAD, and Ladylike.
Performing In the lobby:
True Bard Ore-True Bard Ore was teleported to Sussex from the middle ages without warning some time ago. Finding his beloved lute had morphed into a guitar, he proceeded to serve his songwriting apprenticeship under the watchful eyes of Flake Brown. After an epiphany at his allotment, he has since become a musical Shaman, and his performances are an attempt to magically shape the very air.
