About

NNow a highlight of the Eastbourne theatrical year, the British Music Hall Society returns for its 6th all-day celebration of the worlds of music hall and variety with music, comedy, song, guest speakers, archive film footage and much more.

Come and spend a FUN day and wallow in nostalgia.

The morning session includes a welcome from Wyn Calvin; Let’s All Go To The Music Hall with Richard Gauntlett, Peter John, Michelle Grant, Jane Horn, Simon Bashford and Kevin Gauntlett as Your Worthy Chairman; an interview with Alison Steadman.

The afternoon includes Jimmy McWilliams – Singing For You; That’s Show Business: Variety Greats On Film; a tribute to the late Roy Hudd and The Royal (Hippodrome) Variety Performance with a bill that includes Bernie Clifton, comedy magician Mandy Muden, West End singing star Lorna Dallas, comedian, juggler and unicyclist Johnny Slap, and the cast of the Royal Hippodrome Summer Season production Strictly Showtime!
