DreamSpin Hoop Dance has been teaching people the joy of hoop dance for 17 years, it was the first hoop dance company to open in Brighton in 2008 has taught thousands of people how to dance with a hoop! Clare from DreamSpin Hoop Dance spent 10 of those years also performing with her own circus company and running circus workshops. Using a heavier hoop for waist hooping and a lighter hoop for off body moves, you will learn how to skillfully use the hoop as a prop, a mix of circus and rhythmic gymnastics style hoop tricks you will learn a simple choreography with your hoop. As you develop your skills I will show you how to hoop on your chest/shoulderss/knees and even elbows! The classes are age 14 onwards (under 15 accompanied by parent), they are fun, friendly, sociable and a wonderful workout for the body and the mind! Great for hand-eye co-ordination and developing a sense of rhythm and your creative flow. This 6 week course is suitable for absolute beginners and those who are looking to learn new tricks with their hoop.
