About
How to describe this brilliant night Well, it's the mightily funny Ed Aczel back by popular demand with his latest comedy show and a set of extraordinary theatrical spoken word comedy by the equally mighty and excellent Ben Moor.
A bit more on Ed Azcel:
Anti-Comedy legend began performing stand-up comedy at the age of 38.
By the end of 2005, he was the runner-up in both the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and in Jimmy Carr's Comedy Idol.
· Winner of the Malcolm Hardee Award for comic originality
· Performed 10 solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival.
· He was part of the cast for Richard Gadd's award-winning show Waiting for Gaddot in 2015, and has toured the UK widely including performing at the Soho Theatre regularly.
Perhaps Britain's greatest living anti-comedian The Guardian
His meanderings are apparently the evidence of pure genius List

'Aczel is still the master of the genre. \*\*\*\* Kate Copstick - THE SCOTSMAN
'He could stand totally rigid, silent, unmoving, and still make an audience laugh. \*\*\*\* EDINBURGH FESTIVALS MAGAZINE
And more on Ben Moor:
Accomplished story teller and actor par excellence with a talent for unique and highly expressive face pulling along with dulcet Radio 4-esque tones Ben Moor is back with his latest prose and poetical works for a delightful set of spoken word comedy.
You might have seen Ben in numerous films and tv series, including The Queens Gambit, Doctors, The IT Crowd, Man Down, Fist of Fun and more. He is a marvel and were delighted to welcome him back.
Here's what some of the papers said about Ben's latest Fringe show A Three Thing Day.
'Actor and writer Ben Moor makes storytelling shows of exceptional delicacy. He has an ability to reframe the mundane and find beauty in everyday moments \*\*\*\*- THE STAGE on Ben's latest Edinburgh Fringe show 2025
'Ben Moor has carved out a highly specific niche for comedy-theatre-monologues full of wordplay, one-liners and glorious flights of surrealism. perfect for anyone who loves a Borgesian knot laced with plenty of playfulness, and a warm-hearted reminder of how strange ordinary life can be.'. \*\*\*\* THE SCOTSMAN 2025
With Jo Neary at the helm, possibly with some new material about having x numbered quantity of jeans, or maybe a dance.
Booking essential, we are a small venue and limit numbers to make sure everyone is comfy and gets a seat. Very alternative comedy night, prices are low so you can take a chance. Everyone welcome. The night is in a room above the gorgeous Lamb Inn pub and we have a 55 minute first half, then an interval then a final 35 minute set and a little more for good measure.
Line ups are always subject to change, due to circumstances beyond our control but we will make sure the night goes ahead with a cracking line up.
